The law does not restrict marriage based on sexual orientation. Anyone can legally marry as long as both partners are 18 years or older and legally consenting adults (of Thai or foreign nationality). Couples must visit their local embassy in Thailand 7-10 days before their wedding date. This process takes approximately 2 hours. We then send your documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be translated and legalized. On your wedding day, a government official will come to your ceremony location to sign the legal documents. All paperwork will be translated from Thai to English and legalized. Your official marriage certification will be sent by secure mail approximately 1 month after your wedding.
